What you need before you start
Every state portal searches the same way: by where the FIR was registered and when. Have these ready and it takes a minute.
- 1The district and the police station that registered the FIR.
- 2Roughly when it was registered. A date range is usually enough.
- 3The FIR number, if you know it. Without it you can still browse the station's records for those dates.
Downloading through FIRSetu
FIRSetu searches the state portal for you and hands back the same official PDF the portal serves.
- 1Open the search page and choose the state, district and police station.
- 2Pick a date range, or use one of the quick ranges.
- 3Add the FIR number if you have it, to go straight to a single record.
- 4Press Search, then use View PDF to read the document or Download to save it.
If the download fails
The PDF is fetched from the state portal at the moment you ask for it, so a failure almost always means the portal is slow or temporarily down rather than that the record is missing.
Waiting a little and trying again is usually enough. If it keeps failing, the record may not have a published document even though the entry itself is listed.
What you get
The file is the police portal's own PDF, passed through unchanged. FIRSetu does not edit, re-type, summarise or certify it, and the official record always stays with the portal it came from.
