Where Maharashtra publishes FIRs
Maharashtra Police run a public Citizen Portal that lists published FIRs by district and police station. It is the official source, and it is where the PDF you download originates, whether you go there directly or through FIRSetu.
What you can search by
The portal is organised around where and when, not who. You choose a district, then a police station within it, then a date range.
FIRSetu carries the full published hierarchy: 50 districts and roughly 1,300 police stations, loaded from the portal rather than typed by hand, so the names and spellings match what the portal itself uses.
Searching well
Two things make a search faster and more likely to find what you want.
- 1Keep the date range tight. The portal is searched live, so a narrower window comes back sooner.
- 2Use the FIR number when you have it, and remember that the portal writes them padded, as 0250. FIRSetu accepts either 250 or 0250.
What FIRSetu adds

The record itself is the state's, the PDF is the state's, and the official copy always remains with the Maharashtra Police portal.
